WoW Auction House Data Export

WoWAHExporter is a utility that parses the data file generated by Auctioneer mod and exports the data into a CSV or Excel file format that you can open in Excel or Google Application to search and analyze data in your own time. One of the most interesting feature of this utility is that you can actually get any idea about the time when auction of an item will expire. That way you do not have to be sitting there all day to bid on an item. You can just come close to time and snag the item.

How to use it?

  • Download WowAHExporter file.
  • Unzip the file in any folder on your machine. You will see two files (WoWAHExporter.exe and Winista.AHPArser.dll) in that folder
  • Double click on WoWAHExporter.exe file and it bring up a simple user interface where you will enter the path to where Auctioneer.lua file. You can directly point it to your {WOWFOLDER}\WTF\Accounts\{AccountName}\SavedVariables folder.
  • Then select the folder where you would like the output CSV file to be created.
  • Click on Export button and wait for process to finish.
  • The application will export the data into WoWAH.csv file in the folder that you selected in fourth step.

Output file format

The output file WoWAH.csv puts data in following coloumns.

Item, Server, Faction, Quantity, Start Price, Buyout Price, Current Bid, Time Left, Last Seen, Auction Ends

There are some values in the data that need some more explanation and how to interpret them.

  • Buyout Price: If this value is ZERO that means the item was not assigned any buy out value and it up for open auction.
  • Current Bid: If this valeue is zero, that means there no current bids for this item.
  • Auction Ends & Last See: The time values shown in the columns are UTC time. So depending on time zone of your server you can figure out what the actual time for that auction are.
